This Piece is about an exchange of Power. Many African children live in Fear of the Missionaries, AID Workers + Volunteers who visit their countries. Unfortunately, destitution + poverty exposes these children to constant danger, with no real means to protect themselves. In this piece the child is armed, hence his vulnerability has been transformed into Power. He is still trusting + welcoming, waving with his right hand, while vigilantly clutching his gun with his left hand.
